Protest at the Tory Party Conference, Birmingham 2nd October

The new Tory Prime Minister, Liz Truss, is committed to cutting workers’ rights and reducing the size of the state, which means attacking and cutting the public sector even further after 12 years of austerity/deep cuts.

Yet at the same time they refuse to place a windfall tax on the energy firms making obscene profits at our expense and are now considering lifting the cap on bankers’ bonuses while we are supposed to observe pay restraint as inflation rages.

Enough is enough. Sandwell General UNISON Branch is supporting the national demonstration outside the Tory Party conference in Birmingham on Sunday 2nd October. Join us in marching behind the Branch banner. Assemble in Victoria Square for 1pm.
