Thanks to all members covered by NJC pay who responded to the electronic consultative vote for the proposed pay claim for 2024/25.
The proposed claim is for:-
- An increase of 10% or £3,000, whichever is the greater
- A commitment to reach a minimum rate of pay of £15 an hour over the next two years, with a clear plan for how this will be achieved
- Reviews of the gender, ethnicity and disability pay gaps in local government
The vote was 613 Yes votes agreeing with the claim (95.5%) and 29 No votes (4.5%)
These votes have been forwarded to the national count.
Nationally, UNISON branches overwhelmingly backed the proposed claim, with just one branch voting against the proposal. Discussions will now be held with our sister trade unions to submit a joint claim.
