AGM agree to campaign against privatisation and racism

Sandwell’s 2016 AGM voted unanimously to back a motion to ballot for industrial action if the Government tries to privatise Children’s social workers into a ‘Trust’.

The AGM also voted to ‘show racism the red card’ and invite the organisation into one of Sandwell’s Schools.

Regarding the EU referendum the majority vote was to abstain on a motion arguing to leave. Clearly many individuals are seeking further information before making a decision on how to vote.

More information will be in the next newsletter. The AGM also showed support to victimised Birmingham teacher Simon O’Hara.
