During Easter week UNISON’s national NJC Committee met to discuss the pay offer of 3.3% on all pay points. The NJC Committee decided to reject the Employers’ 3.3% offer and are finalising UNISON’s next steps to take forward our campaign for a better pay increase.

Please note that Sandwell MBC is a Real Living Wage employer and will therefore pay a minimum of £13.45 per hour from 1 April 2026 meaning those on pay points 3 to 5 will see an initial uplift in their April’s pay.
